Strengths: Although the holdings of the West Yorkshire Archive Service cover a much wider geographical area than might be expected, beyond the heartland of the present West Yorkshire, as a local archive service its strength is geographic rather than subject based. Its chief missionary related holding is that of the Arthington Trust, which financed missionary enterprises of many denominations throughout the world in the first half of the twentieth century.
