Strengths: The Special Libraries and Archives department's holdings include material relating to the history and culture of the North-east, such as archival and non-archival material on the University of Aberdeen itself, local records, and oriental materials. Printed collections include acquisitions dating from the late 15th century. Missionary-related collections include personal papers of 19th and 20th century missionaries, and records of the 1910 World Missionary Conference held in Edinburgh.
