Administrative/Biographical history: Trained and worked as a nurse; served as a missionary with the China Inland Mission from 1902; undertook medical, educational, and evangelistic work. Publications: The Clock Man's Mother, and other stories (London, 1930); The Tin Traveller (London, 1931). Her name is often found spelled Tippett.

Custodial history: The papers form part of the series of personal and private papers of individual missionaries among the records of the China Inland Mission.

Immediate source of acquisition: Donated with the records of the China Inland Mission from 1991.
