Papers of Miss Lilian BullIDENTITY STATEMENT
CONTEXT Name of creator(s): Administrative/Biographical history: Lilian Bull (d 1953) served as a CMS missionary in South China 1928-1946, 1948-1953. She died in England on 2 November 1953. Custodial history: Deposited with the CMS per David Pluckrose, CMS Exhibitions Organizer, 1964; transferred on permanent loan to the Special Collections Department by the CMS in the 1980s. Immediate source of acquisition: CONTENT AND STRUCTURE Scope and content/abstract: A small collection of papers of Lilian Bull relating to her missionary service with the CMS with the South China Mission at Yunnan, Kunming, and elsewhere which largely consists of photographs of missionaries and missionary work, but also includes a typescript of a diary of a journey she undertook in 1941 from Kinming to Burma and back, and a large scale map of the Yunnan province of China, in Chinese, c 1940. System of arrangement: This collection forms part of the Church Missionary Society Unofficial Papers. It is arranged into one series: Miscellaneous Papers.
