CONTEXT Name of creator(s): Wilson, George Administrative/Biographical history: Dr George Wilson served with the Irish Presbyterian Mission in the district of Gujarat and its city of Ahmadabad in India from 1902 to 1959. Custodial history: Donated to the Henry Martyn Centre by Wilson's daughter, Elizabeth Wilson, in September 2000. CONTENT AND STRUCTURE Scope and content/abstract: The letters give a detailed account of Wilson's work amongst the people of the Gujarat area. He describes the way of life, customs and religion of the inhabitants as well as the geography of the region. System of arrangement: The letters are arranged in chapters (WIL 1 etc.) under various topic headings.
