CONTEXT Name of creator(s): Skipper, Dora Administrative/Biographical history: Letters of Miss Dora Skipper, a missionary and teacher working for the Church Missionary Society in the Bukedi region of Uganda between 1926 and 1929. Custodial history: Immediate source of acquisition: Donated in 1998 by Louise Pirouet, a member of the Henry Martyn Centre library committee. CONTENT AND STRUCTURE Scope and content/abstract: Collection of around 100 letters describing in some detail Skipper's life and work in Church Missionary Society (CMS) missions in Nabumali and Ngora in Uganda. She paints a lively picture of the life of the people. Included are some letters of Mrs Winifred Mather, a CMS missionary at Mbale and Miss Robinson, a sister at Ngora Hospital.
