Datta, Surendra KumarIDENTITY STATEMENT
CONTEXT Name of creator(s): Administrative/Biographical history: Surendra Kumar Datta was born in 1878. He was lecturer in history and biology 1909-1914, and Principal 1932-1942 at Forman Christian College. He became YMCA national secretary for India, Burma and Ceylon 1919-27 and continued to be active in international YMCA afterwards. He represented Indian Christians in the Indian Legislative Assembly from 1924 to 1926 and at the Round Table Conference in 1931.
