Administrative/Biographical history: Edward Alfred Livingstone Moore served as a missionary in India 1896-1937, becoming Principal of the Church Missionary Society Divinity School, Madras 1904-14; Chairman, Tinnevelly CMS Church Council 1915-24; and finally Bishop of Travancore 1925-37. In retirement he served as vicar of Horspath, Oxford 1938-44.
