CONTEXT Name of creator(s): Shaw, Ellis Owen (1908-83) Administrative/Biographical history: The Rev Owen Ellis Shaw worked as a missionary at the Church of Scotland Mission, Madras 1934-71; his wife Mary Whitely Frushard Shaw was a university examiner and lecturer, St Christopher's Training College, Madras. Custodial history: Immediate source of acquisition: CONTENT AND STRUCTURE Scope and content/abstract: The papers relate to the expulsion order on Rev Ellis Owen Shaw issued by the Indian Government in 1970 and its withdrawal.
