CONTEXT Name of creator(s): Association for the Furtherance of Christianity in Egypt Administrative/Biographical history: The Association for the Furtherance of Christianity in Egypt was set up in 1883 to assist the Coptic Church by improving the education of its clergy. It merged with the Anglo-Continental Society in 1904 to form the Anglican and Foreign Church Society.
